Villa Glaucos is a unique, exclusive villa, located in very green, natural surroundings atop a cliff above the sea, in a very quiet, peaceful location along the coast of the Calamita promontory, inside the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.

The Villa consists of just two residential units: one, three-roomed and sleeping 5, is directly managed by our Agency while the other, a one-roomed apartment accommodating two, is not let but is used by the owner herself during her rare holidays on Elba. This part of the Villa includes a small terrace at the side of the building, which can be used by clients staying there when the proprietor is not in residence; however, in all cases clients have full use of a large, fully furnished terrace with a wonderful, sweeping view.

The Villa stands in grounds of about 3,200 square metres and is surrounded on three sides by the luxuriant, wild undergrowth typical of the Mediterranean coast, which attracts birds and small wild animals including pheasants and wild rabbits. On the southern side, from the terrace next to the villa, there is only a magnificent, unique, spectacular sea view. On the same day, the villa's terrace provides wonderful views of both dawn and sunset, with the sun rising from and then plunging back into the sea. There is also a peerless, wide view of the blue of the sea with the other islands of Montecristo, Gemini, Pianosa and Corsica in the background. On particularly clear days, even Giglio and the Argentario peninsula are visible. The few other houses in the area are about 300 – 500 metres from the villa but stand lower down, and the only sounds to be heard are those of the sea, the wind, the chirping of the birds and the occasional engine of a passing fishing boat. It is a truly calm, pleasant location, offering guests unbroken peace and quiet and an unforgettable, relaxing holiday. The villa is an excellent starting-point for walks of all length and difficulty, mountain-bike rides and bird-watching, in the tranquillity of uncontaminated natural surroundings.

The Innamorata beach, with bars, restaurants and boat and beach equipment hire, is about 1000 metres away, and the villa is from 2,000 to 4,000 metres from the other beaches on the Capoliveri coast. For an alternative seaside experience, well away from the usual noisy, crowded beaches, guests can follow a twisting path of about 300 metres (suitable only for agile adults) which leads to a wild little inlet with a shingle beach, sheltered from the winds and truly exclusive.

After a wonderful day spent in harmony and symbiosis with nature, the bright lights of the town of Capoliveri are just 5 km away by car. There, guests will be able to shop in the stores and at the stalls of the evening street market, stroll through the delightful historic centre with its medieval backdrops, or savour a fish dinner at the best restaurants.
